Over Seminar, Onto Experience Tour

After ‘Projecty Talks Windows 7’ seminar last November, I have been asked a lot about what is going to come next. Especially, a lot of question of this matter flew in after I came back from MVP Global Summit in February of this year.
Although I did answer to few of these questions and did a lot of considerations into this, the main two reasons I haven’t planned any more seminars.
I wanted to flip the thoughts that seminars were all the same.
Some of the main characteristics of these seminars were two-fold: regional-wise, they were focused on metropolitan area around Seoul, and audience-wise, they tend not to be targeted at normal users or owners of small business.
In that sense, last August’s “Twitterians ask Projecty on Windows 7” seminar and last November’s “Projecty asks Twitterians on Windows 7” seminar were experiments against this ‘seminars are all same’ business.
After these two experiments, I pondered upon this question for a long time, and that even caused me to be a bit sporadic on posting on the blog as well.
These were what it all came to after all these ponderings: “Let’s get out of Seoul and go around Korea, even if that meant sacrificing my health a little bit,” and “Let’s tell people about Windows Experience that can be immediately used.”
I’d like to show you the true Windows Experience out of the book, out of Seoul.
Windows Experience Tour will happen all over Korea, showing you features of Windows services that simply cannot be written on blog or Twitter.
Especially, Windows Experience Tour was planned in order to show you and help you experience around the features of Windows services at present, and their future as well.
Desktop Experience & Cloud + Socialytic Experience in Seoul
To mark the beginning of Windows Experience Tour, the first of the series will start in Microsoft Korea office in Seoul, at July 31, 1 PM(GMT+9)

Seoul seminar will consist of Desktop Experience session and Cloud + Socialytic Experience session, both incorporating Windows 7 and Windows Live, socialytic application and cloud service.
First session, Desktop Experience, will be headed by Microsoft MVP Kwang-soo “Archmond” Park, (Windows Desktop Experience) famous for his ArchVista blog.
MVP Park will present on Windows 7’s user experience(UX) aspect, including the generic UX, multimedia, system management, and UX elements that you probably didn’t know.
Second session, Cloud + Socialytic Experience, will be headed by myself, Microsoft MVP Sung-ki “Projecty” Park.(Windows Desktop Experience)
The second session will be about Windows Virtual PC which is a personal virtualization application, and Windows Live! as a cloud service and socialytic application. Windows Office 2010 will be mentioned also, reinforcing what was said in the first session.
Also, centered around Windows Live, I will also touch on how to efficiently use other SNS like Facebook and Twitter.
These two sessions will be also aired on Twitter.
We are open to support for Windows Experience Tour
“Projecty’s Knowledge-Sharing Seminar” needs a lot of help since everything is free. Especially, budget coming from various aspects such as demo units, meals, and sleeping can be a huge burden for both me or Archmond.
However, we still want to spread the knowledge that we have to everyone in Korea. So, we would like to request for support on this post.
Windows Experience Tour will continue till December, opening on two cities from the list of Busan, Daejeon, Daegu, Gwangju, Jeonju, and Jeju.
For being our sponsor, we will continuously expose the logo of your company at the blog or on the presentation, letting the audience know that you supported us on this tour. Also, you can also attach a sticker with your company’s logo on our demo units.
You can contact my email at "parkpc at gmail dot com", or Twitter @projecty, and I will provide you with the presentation files or I will brief you on person.
Especially, we are expecting support from PC manufacturers and communications company, as well as organizations which will host the seminar with us on specific city.
More stories about Seoul Seminar and actual registration process will be revealed at July 7. Stay tuned!
